Emma-Krysta Silipo’s love for dance has always been part of who she is. After 3 1/2 years of dancing recreationally, she began competitive dance at the age of 6 and since then, dance has been her passion. She trains at Tha Spot Dance Centre in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, ballet, acro and tap. Emma-Krysta also trains in dancehall, soca, afro and Latin by taking drop-in classes, workshops and attending conventions. She has also received scholarships to dance in Las Vegas, Nevada and Los Angeles, California. She was selected as part of the youth group for Industry Night, and has performed for the past 2 years with the all-female Boss Dance Co., as well as on stage with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the “My Mulan” production and Shawn Desman, to name a few.. This summer she is representing Canada in Rome for the Dance World Cup. Represented by da Costa Talent Management she also acts, and models, and loves swimming in her spare time.
Alivia Garlent is a 15-year-old competitive dancer. Many people refer to her as Liv because when she is on stage she comes aLIVe. She has been dancing for 10 years and her favourite style of dance is hip hop. She has also trained in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, modern and ballet. Some of her accomplishments include dancing for the Mini Pop Kids in music videos, as well as dance tutorials and commercials. She has also performed in “My Mulan” a fantasy dance drama. At competitions, she has received multiple scholarships, special awards and invitations to dance workshops. At a World of Dance qualifier she entered an impromptu Freestyle Hip Hop Competition and received first place. She has modelled and also enjoys singing. In her spare time she loves to experiment with makeup and is a teacher’s assistant at her dance school.
Hailey is 13 years old and those who know her, know her love for dance started when she was just a baby watching her older sister compete. She quickly followed in her footsteps, started dancing at 2 years old and experienced her first competition at the age of 3 in a Joanne Chapman School of Dance Production routine and has not stopped since. Hailey dances all styles and has won multiple scholarships and titles including Miss Mini CanDance, Fever's Junior Powerhouse and became a DancerPalooza's Beat Squad member. Hailey has had many wonderful opportunities over the years; she has been a model for Walmart, Joe Fresh, and Silver Lining Costumes, an Ambassador for Couture Costume Dancewear, and she has danced at the Mini Pops Kids concert and in their videos. If you ask Hailey what her favourite pastime is, she will tell you it’s spending time outdoors with her friends and family.
Ava is a 13-year-old competitive dancer who trains in ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz, and hip hop. She has been dancing with Joanne Chapman School of Dance since she was 3 years old. Her favourite dance styles are contemporary and hip hop. Ava has danced for the Mini Pop Kids in many videos and commercials. She has also won multiple scholarships and VIP awards at dance workshops and competitions. Her world is dance but she also enjoys drawing and being artistic in many ways!!!
Nathaniel Chua is a versatile dancer who has trained and competed for 8 years in jazz, tap, hip hop, acrobatics and contemporary. For the last 2 years, he has been accepted to train in a prestigious professional ballet program.
In 2016 he was selected to perform live on stage with Justin Bieber in Minneapolis for Justin’s WORLD PURPOSE TOUR. In December 2019, Nathaniel performed in the two-week run of the Christmas classic, the Nutcracker at the Four Seasons in Toronto, Ontario. Nathaniel is the 2018 Canadian National Exhibition’s Rising Star Junior Grand Champion and has appeared in several music videos and commercials for the Mini Pop Kids. Currently, he is the Canadian Youth Correspondent for CIUT 98.5 FM’s Turn Out Radio Show discussing all things dance relevant to youths today.
Fifteen-year-old Jonathan Paula has been training competitively as a dancer for the last 9 years. He trains in all forms of dance, but especially enjoys jazz and musical theatre. He has had multiple overall winning routines from solo to team performances. One of his most memorable experiences was in 2016 where Jonathan was recognized as The Dance Awards Mini Male Best Dancer and Radix Nationals Mini Male Core Performer, and again in 2018 where he was recognized as The Dance Awards Junior Male Best Dancer. These honours granted him the privilege of assisting the faculty at workshops throughout their next season. In 2017, Jonathan competed with Team Canada Dance at the International Dance Organizations, Ballet, Jazz and Modern World Championship in Poland. He was awarded 1st Place Junior Male Modern Soloist, 1st Place Junior Male Jazz Soloist, 2nd Place Junior Jazz Duet, 3rd Place Junior Jazz Formation, and 4th Junior Jazz Group. Jonathan has also performed as a background dancer for the Mini Pop Kids 14 & 15 Television Commercial and Music Videos. Jonathan’s dream is to one day perform on Broadway.
Mila is a 16 year old Kitchener native who has over 10 years of competitive dance experience. She has studied and performed in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Hip-Hop under the teachings of Kimberly Kay, Kathryn Kuwabara and Jay T. Schramek Dimensions In Dance Studio.Mila has also trained with B-Boy Paul “Kaze'' Thurton studying in Hip-Hop, Breakdancing, and Popping and was given the B-Girl name Girl Kaze. Mila has embraced her discovery of Hip-Hop culture, appreciating the music as well as respecting that it embodies and values resilience, understanding , community and social justice. Mila has a love for performing. In addition to appearing in tv commercials, Mila booked the role of Karen Davidson in the 2019 Stratford Festival production of Billy Elliot: The Musical. She also played the role of Liz Johnson in the short film, Erin’s Guide to Kissing Girls. She is excited to have booked a principal role in an upcoming Disney movie.
Ryan Sherk is a 16-year-old dancer with a strong passion for the Arts. Ryan began dance at the age of 4 and has been competing in many different genres for the last 9 years. He is a versatile artist with extensive experience performing in numerous styles including jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, ballroom and ballet. Dance has opened the door to many exciting opportunities for Ryan. He was a member of the Toronto Raptors Lil’ Ballas Dance Team, he also became a Mini Pop Kid, where he was featured in music videos and commercials and toured across Canada, performing in 26 live concerts. Ryan has received many scholarships, special awards and top placements at Regional and National dance events. Some highlights include being named Teen Mr. Bedazzled Dance Champion 2018 and being recognized as 1st-Runner Up for America’s Teen Dancer of the Year, at the American Dance Awards Nationals in New York City in 2019. Receiving 1st Place Pas de Deux at the Youth American Grand Prix for his duet with his sister was another one of Ryan’s most memorable accomplishments. He hopes to one day fulfill his dream of becoming a professional dancer.
12-year-old Selah started her dance journey at age 3 and started her competitive journey, at age 4. She has been dancing and training at Joanne Chapman School of Dance for 9 years. She is trained in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, Acro and Jazz Funk. She has gained more dance experience and knowledge from many different workshops and conventions. She has had the pleasure to work with some of the most renown chorographers in the industry.
Selah has won numerous VIP and scholarships awards at conventions and dance competitions. Selah’s joy is to dance and is always intrigued and opened to learned different styles of dance. Her first passion is to dance but she also loves to read, spend time with family and friends.
Selah enjoys school and participate in extra school activities such as track and field and volleyball. Selah has also participated in dance video concepts.
18-year-old Savanna’s love for dance is embedded deep within her heart. She began dancing competitively at Joanne Chapman School of Dance for 11 years and trained in genres such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip hop, Acro, Contemporary, and Tap. As well as taking classes at workshops and conventions in other genres such as Musical Theatre, Ballroom, Jazz Funk, and Contemporary Fusion. She’s had the incredible pleasure to train and dance amongst some of the greatest choreographers in the industry. She has been a part of Stacy Tookey’s, The Protégé Movement for two years, learning and grasping knowledge with some of the industry's best choreographers and actors. Savanna has won multiple scholarships and VIP awards at competitions she’s attended. Outside of dance, Savanna loves spending time with friends and family along with abstract painting.
Marisa Sherk is an 18-year-old dancer who has always had a strong passion for performing. She trains and competes in a variety of styles including jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, ballet, pointe and contemporary. Marisa started dancing recreationally at the age of 3 and has been competing for 10 years. She has received several awards, scholarships and titles at the Regional, National and International level. Some of her achievements include travelling to Poland with Team Canada Dance and bringing home a gold and bronze medal, being crowned Teen Miss Bedazzled Dance Champion 2018, receiving First Place at the Youth American Grand Prix for her duet with her brother, being recognized as one of the Top 10 Finalists for America’s Teen Dancer of the Year at the American Dance Awards Nationals in New York City, and being named Limitless Dancer at the No Limits Dance Convention. Marisa has been featured in a number of music videos, danced backup for the Mini Pop Kids, and performed lead roles in The Nutcracker and Cinderella. She is also a brand ambassador for Tendu Active, a Toronto dancewear brand. Marisa will continue to pursue her passion for dance as she is happiest when she is performing.
Noah is a 12-year-old competitive dancer who trains in hip hop and contemporary. Following in his older sister’s footsteps, he also dances at Zero Gravity Dance and Kore Dance Studio and has also trained with IMMABeast and In The Lab Studio from Los Angeles, California. Noah has danced for the Mini Pop Kids, the Melisizwe Brothers, and has performed at several events and festivals in Edmonton. Noah was also cast as the lead in Kore Dance Studio’s first ever production “We Are Youth” directed and choreographed by Carlo Atienza. And just like his sister, Noah is known to make a splash at dance competitions, receiving multiple scholarships and awards. Noah also loves playing hockey, soccer, and video games with his friends.

Celeste Delgado is a passionate 17 year old dancer who strives to always be her authentic self. She has been dancing since the age of 8, training in various styles such as jazz, hip hop, contemporary, dancehall, ballet and more. Over the years Celeste has trained with many choreographers around Toronto. She is currently a part of the award winning hip hop team The Renegades directed by Xavier Tu and Jac Valiquette, where she trains in various street styles such as house, popping, locking, hip hop freestyle and breaking. Celeste has been fortunate enough to have performed and competed internationally. Some of her accomplishments include performing for rapper Tory Lanez at his sold out Chixtape concert in Toronto, and competing at Hip Hop International and World of Dance with The Renegades. Moving forward, Celeste hopes to further her training and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her as a rising artist!
Carina Kanaan is an 18 year old dancer who trains mostly in hip hop. Carina began dancing ballet at the young age of 3 years old and since then has continued practicing in many different styles. She has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop and she continues to study modern and ballet at the Claude Watson School for the Arts. Some of her main accomplishments include competing at Hip Hop International with The Renegades, and receiving the grand title of best adult hip hop team in Canada. Carina continues to train and compete with The Renegades and hopes to do more competitions in the future. Carina also focuses on fitness and wellness, and in her free time enjoys taking long walks as well as watching Netflix.
Zyanna Rodrigues-Wishart is a lively 17-year-old dancer. She began dancing when she was 4 years old and started to compete at the age of 7. She has trained in various styles such as hip hop, dancehall, jazz, contemporary, ballet, and modern. She joined The Renegades in 2019 and continued to further her knowledge in hip hop freestyle and a variety of street styles such as popping, locking, and house. A few of her main achievements include competing at Hip Hop International with The Renegades as well as performing at the Tory Lanez Chixtape concert in Toronto. She is very excited to see what the future holds for her as she continues to train and seek knowledge along with new opportunities!
Ben Amorgowich has been playing drums for 7 years, starting lessons at Britown music and then at his current studio, Junction Beats. Ben has been actively involved in playing drums for his school orchestra and repertoire, and has performed at Junction Beats Fest in his hometown of London, ON.
When Ben is not drumming, he can be found snowboarding at the local ski club, or street skateboarding in his neighbourhood. This is Ben’s first music production experience and he is looking forward to collaborating with the cast and crew of VCR2.
